Daniel Craig, aka the James Bond of our time, will turn 50 this March 3.

Of course, the distinguished British actor makes a habit of dressing as debonairly as his on-screen counterpart. Between his own red carpet appearances and the as yet untitled twenty-fifth James Bond movie set for a 2019 release, more sophisticated spy style is assured in the near future.

Fans rejoiced at the announcement that Craig would reprise his role as 007. Confirmation came after a period of uncertainty following his 2015 pronouncement that he would “rather break this glass and slit my wrists” than play James Bond again.

“Look, there’s no point in making excuses about it, but it was two days after I’d finished shooting the last movie,” he explained more recently on the Stephen Colbert show. “I went straight into an interview and someone said would you do another one and I went ‘No!’ And instead of saying something with style and grace I gave a really stupid answer.”

No doubt, his admirers will find it in their hearts to forgive him.

More likely than not, we can look forward to a Tom Ford-designed wardrobe in Bond 25, as was the case in the last three films of the series. Craig can frequently be spotted in a dapper tux created by the American designer not just when playing the sexy secret agent, but on the red carpets, as well. Whether onscreen or off, the result is always the epitome of suaveness. You’d never believe he’s turning 50, would you? — jas
