Susie Lau’s fun, eclectic style was a major highlight of Fashion Month, as always.
For Fall 2019, the London-based blogger outdid herself with, among other statement items, a graphic Kwaidan Editions jacket covered in a layer of bright blue PVC and a Paco Rabanne bag made of metallic chainmail. Susie’s outfits are almost always centered around a wild print — or several. They don’t just look like they’re party-ready — they turn every sidewalk into a party!
The mastermind behind Stylebubble.co.uk was editor of Dazed & Confused magazine from 2008 to 2010, but these days she devotes all her time to her blog and designer collabs with labels like Coach and Louis Vuitton. You’ll frequently spot her in a design from Mary Katrantzou, Molly Goddard, Simone Rocha — the list of her favorite brands goes on and on.
Notably, one of her standout PFW looks deviated sharply from her usual aesthetic. She was spotted outside Thom Brown’s show in a dark denim Valentino dress decked out with cascading tiers of ruffles and complemented by a python shoulder strap bag. Wait — no prints and vivid hues? We had to do a double take to be sure it was Susie in this uncharacteristically dark and rather raw-edged ensemble. Is the style star turning over a new leaf with her wardrobe? We’ll need more data before we can make that conclusion, but for now, here are her most amazing outfits from throughout Fall 2019 Fashion Month. — jas
